A Global Perspective - Dr. Sanford interviews Harvard Law School Senior Fellow

Janet E. Lord is a senior fellow at Harvard Law School Project on Disability, where she writes and researches on international law and policy relating to the human rights of persons with disabilities. She is also a member of the board of directors of Amnesty International USA and the United States International Council on Disability. Lord participated in all negotiations which led to the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She has worked in more than 40 countries worldwide on advancing the human rights of the most marginalized members of society. 

An expert facilitator, Lord has designed and facilitated disability rights and awareness training for the International Labor Organization, non-profits and several large and small companies. She holds three law degrees including an LLB and LLM from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and an LLM in international and comparative law from George Washington University.

The Manufacturing Caucus is a grass roots conversation between manufacturers and legislators on issues facing their business and the industry. ISM’s Non-Manufacturing Index at 53.9

The ISM's Non-Manufacturing Index rolled up to 53.9, 3.5 points less than July activity that was reported in early August. All categories that make up the index fell which may be an indicator of summer vacations in August. Hear Anthony Nieves, Committee Chair of the ISM's Non-Manufacturing Report on Business(R), goes into detail about the report and the categories to give listeners a solid sense of what is happening in this large segment of the U.S. economy.
