Bringing the combined perspective of an historian, a policy researcher and a policymaker, Dr. Duesterberg agrees that demographic shifts as well as changes in manufacturing production processes and the increasing size and complexity of global manufacturing supply chains are affecting both the economics and the politics of trade.
